To harness your power increases, and transfer that power to the road or track where you need it, Volkswagen Racing Engine Mounts will give a much more solid drive, and crucially give additional durability. The Volkswagen Racing Engine Mounts are certainly not one of the most exciting or visual modifications that you can do to your car!

But they are truly one of the most worthwhile for anyone who appreciates the driving dynamics of their car. Almost everyone who tries these mounts on a Golf or Scirocco wants them.

Whilst VWR recommend the VWR Lower Engine Mount upgrade alone for road cars, to harness more significant power increases and transfer that power to the track, this Uprated Engine Mount is essential to give a much more solid drive, and crucially add durability to any hard-driven car. The whole engine and gearbox (the drivetrain) is located in just three places. The two upper mounts support the entire weight of the engine/gearbox, plus a third Lower Mount underneath the engine.

(This is for 1x Lower Subframe mount only, we would recommend being fitted as a set). The VWR Uprated Lower Engine Mount is a CNC-machined, fully engineered replacement unit to replace the soft, standard rubber mount. This all but eradicates fore/aft engine and transmission movement, ensuring clean transfer of power to the road. The difference is noticeable the first time you pull away after fitment and on every gearchange after that (whether manual or DSG). The risk of wheel-hop under hard acceleration is greatly reduced as the whole engine and'box assembly is firmly prevented from juddering when wheelspin occurs and through aggressive gearchages.
