This often causes "false knock" and can severely effect the performance of the car.

They also allow a large amount of engine movement and have a very weak limiting bar that tends to bend and allow even more movement. This makes the factory mounts unsuitable for high boost, high performance applications and as many will testify, if they don't pull apart straight away, the engine lifts so much the throttle body hits the bonnet or exhaust system hits the floor. The REVHIGH Performance engine mount is made from 5.0mm steel, laser cut, folded and jig welded. We use a 50.0mm cylindrical solid rubber bush with a 13.0mm thru bolt. The engine is positioned approximately 5.0mm lower than a new standard mount and around the same height as a slightly worn factory mount. This height enables only one mount to be used on the passenger side for people who want to retain the factory feel and still limit the engine lifting under acceleration. For racing applications or for the race car feel, two mounts should be fitted. This will stiffen the front end, greatly reduce the forward and sideways movement of the engine as well as lifting under acceleration. On installation we suggest leaving the thru bolt slightly loose until the top and bottom studs are tightened and the weight of the engine in supported by the mount.
