1953 - 1956 FORD TRUCK 7 DUAL POWER BRAKE BOOSTER PEDAL MASTER DISC DRUM VALVE. 1953 - 1956 FORD TRUCK POWER BOOSTER MASTER PEDAL BRACKET KIT + DISC DRUM VALVE KIT. Brand new kit includes a pedal assembly designed for 1953, 1954, 1955 & 1956 Ford trucks.

The pedal is designed to bolt to the original spot on the frame underneath the floor. Also included is a high quality 7 dual booster and master cylinder combo & the valves necessary for a disc drum setup. This kit is ready for disc/drum applications. The 7 dual power booster offer 27% better stopping power over the 7 single booster for improved stopping, performance and safety. The Corvette style master cylinder has a 1 bore and four ports (two on each side) for easier installation.

Includes plugs for the ports you don't. Includes a self adjusting disc drum proportioning valve and one 10# & one 2# residual valve. Residual valves are necessary when using a master cylinder below the brake calipers to prevent fluid bleed-back. COMPLETE DISC DRUM PROPORTIONING/RESIDUAL VALVE KIT. Complete Disc/Drum proportioning and residual valve kit.

This includes a brand new GM style Disc/Drum self-adjusting proportioning valve. This valve has a zinc coated finish. This valve is also called a combination valve, as it performs all of the necessary valving functions with a disc brake conversion. These functions include the following. As more force is applied to the brakes and the car begins to lean forward, less braking force is needed in the rear.

This valve decreases the pressure to the rear, preventing lock up. Metering is used in the front disk brake portion in the disc/drum system to delay application of the front discs allowing the slower reacting drum brakes to catch up. This provides rear stability on wet surfaces and helps prevent front pad wear. There is no metering function with the disc/disc setup.

Drum Brakes require residual pressure of 10 lbs. To be held in the line. This pressure keeps the brake shoes close to the drums giving you a more firm pedal feel. The disc/disc setup does not require this pressure. This valve has a system failure switch that will alert you when half of your braking system is not working properly.

Also included is a 2 pound residual valve for the front discs and a 10 pound residual valve for the rear drum brakes. These residuals prevent loss of brake pressure.

They run in-line and act as a one way check valve and prevent fluid from bleeding back to the master cylinder. These valves are a MUST when mounting your master cylinder under the floor.
